The lady with whom I board (she's 70) lost her husband a year ago to cancer. She's just started getting lots of dental work done, mainly crowns/bridges and veneers, to close large gaps and to cover heavily discoloured teeth. They look fantastic and the change in her is amazing as she begins to come out of her grief and live again. But one day she said, "I'm so sad that my husband never got to see my new teeth." It made me think - this all makes a big difference to us because we've had to live with the bad teeth, but the people who love us are probably just as thrilled as we are. It's not just that they're supportive of our decision; they really understand our feelings about it and rejoice with us. A nice feeling, eh?
