I'm sure it probably is easier for women, but don't let that stop you. You're going to get "the look" no matter what color (or lack thereof) you choose. You get to pick a different color at each and every adjustment so you can really play around with your colors. Right now I have had my braces for over a year and my last adjustment had me leaving sporting an absolutely awesome color scheme. I asked my boyfriend to pick the colors and he said "oh what the hell, go for a rainbow." So I picked red, orange, yellow, green, and blue and asked that they be put on in that order. She put two ligs on each bracket so I have red/orange, yellow/green, blue/red, orange/yellow and so on. I LOVE IT! I look like I have tie dyed teeth. I'm sticking with this combo for the duration of my treatment, its too cute. And YES! it gets tons of stares but people really get a kick out it and say its very creative and cool looking. These are YOUR teeth, its YOUR mouth, its YOUR money paying for all of this, YOU should have fun with it and everyone else can go bite a bracket for all you care. HAVE FUN!
