First of all- Im a 38 year old mother of 2 small children (3 and 4) --- So- I spent 6 months wearing the palate expander and 6 months with the twin block/bionator - which EVERYONE continuously asked "why are you talking like that" - ahd "what's in your mouth"... Well - I get my braces - ceramic on top - metal on the bottom - My mom comes over and I pretended that nothing was different - I was just doing my thing - and finally asked 'Well, what do you think?' And what do you think she says??: - "Well, Cathie, you sound much better, but now you just look like you have rotten teeth". As you can well imagine - I was not happy!!! She says she wasnt being negative - just honest!!!
So - that goes down in the 'things not to say to my kids file' - lol
