Lynn; I'm 38 (but look younger) and he came across to be in his early 20's. I usually go for the older guy...lol Plus, the whole reason he was at the gas station was to sell pirated dvd's to people pumping gas... I even made the comment about how he was a 'good salesman' after he gave me the compliment, but when he went all shy on me, I knew he wasn't saying it to sell me a dvd... lol

Ray; I have to get gas more often,.. that is the second time I've been stopped at that station and given a compliment. For me, it's all in the delivery from the gent, that tells you if they really mean it or if it's just a 'line'. The first time, this guy followed me out and as I went to get into my car he said "hello" over the roof of my car to me.. and when I looked up, his first question was "Are you good at taking compliments?" which was a new opener one for me.. lol I blushed and said "um, uh, well.." and he continued with "I just wanted to say I think you are really pretty... have a nice day." I thanked him and got into my car blushing. I didn't have my braces at that time, but he still made my day. Go for it if you feel that someone catches your eye enough to say something - it's always nice to receive an innocent compliment for *anything* from a stranger. :o)
