The extractions were done to give my teeth someplace to move. I had too many teeth for the size of my mouth. Since the pictures were taken, the gaps have filled in (more on the top, slower on the bottom).

I think that the bar you are referring to was a sping that my orthodontist put in to keep the bottom teeth from moving too quickly. It is off now, and the bottom extractions (more on the left that the right), are beginning to close.


When I publish the new pics, I hope you can see what I mean.
