Not to rain on your parade, but there are some people who have to live on a soft diet the entire time they're in braces(like me). Even if I cut food up I still break a bracket, and I can't afford to replace them anymore, so I just live on peanutbutter, soup, yogurt, applesauce, oatmeal, and cheeze. This has been a safe diet for me, but it has caused me to lose 15 lbs. And i was already underweight. But what's odd is some of my friends are like you and can eat anything and never had a breakage. I guess it's luck of the draw!
