It’s normal! And if you don’t think so, then gosh darn it join the wimp squad on this board – of which I am definitely a member.
Getting foreign objects bonded to your teeth so that your mouth has 24/7 irritation is not easy, any way you cut it. I have had my braces for 25 days and I am still not used to them. Come on, it changes your whole life – the way you eat, the amount of times you brush, the way you talk, etc.
I am happy to say that I finally passed the “I hate them” phase after week two. Now I am in the “Mildly Annoyed” phase. I am waiting the “I don’t even remember they are there” phase. Is that month 2 or 3? That is to be followed with the “Oh my gosh, I’m half-way there” phase, the “Why aren’t my last teeth rotating” phase, to end up with the “They are finally coming off” phase. I may have missed a few phases somewhere in the middle.
Thankfully, this forum, and the people on it will help you get through each and every phase there is.
