I have problems speaking with the Helix expander appliance that is on for my upper teeth. Particularly difficult is the "s" sound. My pronounciation has improved in the weeks since I have had this appliance (7), but still noticeable.

It is one of those "oh well" things that goes with the territory with braces. I only have to have this device in for 3 months, so am really looking forward to improved speech after it's out. I teach school part-time and am glad I'm off duty until October.
