I had my braces for six months and, apart from the first week and for about 3 hours after one adjustment, I had pretty much no pain at all. Occasionally my teeth would be sore briefly but mostly I barely even knew the braces were there. And my teeth definitely moved, so don't worry that your braces aren't doing anything. Consider yourself lucky and enjoy being able to eat what you want. (Just make sure you brush properly!!) :-)
