Thanks for your advice, Dr. Rick. I really appreciate your second opinion. My orthodontist recommended upper jaw surgery if I wanted to avoid extractions, but I was concerned about the complications associated with the surgery.

I decided to go with the next best option, which was braces with extractions, but I didn't know how many teeth would need to be extracted to achieve the desired result. Although I'm not crazy about getting teeth pulled, I'd rather not have surgery.
