I can't thank you all enough for responding to my whinning...I've had my braces on for 14 days today. I feel MUCH better. I won't say I feel GREAT because I don't but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Let's face it, braces are not fun. My ortho didn't really explain to me that my teeth would feel loose and totally unfamiliar but I am getting used to that. I just look at it as they are moving and that I suppose it a good thing...my ortho's assistant did suggest sugarfee gum to me too and it scared me to think of chewing gum but it really does help to move the jaw again. It's difficult but it's worth it. Hang in there everyone and many, many thanks for your support!
