It is creative, just not what I think would win your lady over. Diamonds are extremely durable. I wear my diamond engagement and my wedding band all of the time, and I've been married 15 years. There's nothing else (besides my braces) that I wear all of the time. You might think it's a waste of money, but it is a once in a lifetime purchase. If you're lucky she'll be wearing that thing for the next 50 years. Sometimes things aren't practical, but hey, I like a little frivolous luxury once in a while. Heck, the wedding itself is a complete waste of money if you look at it strictly as something practical.

Really, it doesn't much matter what you or I think. What does your bride-to-be like?
