Don’t know about you, but after only one month in braces and reading the entire archwired website and posts on this forum almost daily, I feel like I have gotten a crash course in 21st Century Orthodontia from the best University.

At my first adjustment (last Friday) my Ortho practically flipped when I started talking his “lingo” (i.e. Doctor, now regarding my Clarity ceramic braces by Unitek that I currently have on to correct my Class I malocclusion, yadda yadda yadda). He said I was the first patient he ever had that actually did research to learn about their braces. I told him he needed to meet a whole group of fabulous people doing just that on a forum run by archwired..

In deference to drrick and his field, in no uncertain terms do I even know the half of it. Based on info here, I have been keeping my own log of things to watch out for and at what stage – both regarding tooth movement and psychologically. Who knows, it might make a nice article.

Lastly, that little ditty came to me as I was scrubbing the bathroom toilet. I swear, some of my best ideas come to me in the bathroom (sorry for the potty humor) Just thought to share it :)

>Cute poem. Sounds like you're an oldtimer in braces.
>I suppose after a year you do "just enjoy the show".
