I had top and bottom bicuspids extracted. The bottom
gaps closed after 9 months. I still have huge top gaps after 16 months of treatment. I feel it is stalling my
treatment! I don't know the "secret" to get them to close
other than the power chains. Everyone is different for
their gaps to close. I would think that the older a person
is the more difficult for gaps to close. I know some
people that had gaps, that never closed and had to have
them bonded. That would be just my luck! I have heard
some people say the top gaps close first but not in my case.
I think it is individual for every one and nothing is
set in stone when it comes to ortho. treatment.
