hi Mary,
I totally know what you mean. I have two rotated lower canines and it's been a year with little improvement. My ortho put a power chain on it to rotate it one way, which made it better, but when he took off the chain the next month, the tooth immediately rotated back--within a weekend. I didn't go back in until a month later, so by then my tooth was firmly back in its crooked state, and now i am fixing it again. My other canine sits just slightly lower than the other teeth, but numerous efforts to putt it up (with elastics, etc) has yielded little result.
My bite is done and the only thing I am waiting for is for those two teeth to get into place. It's very frustrating to be stuck at the "finishing stage." I am so glad that I am not alone!
