I had white all over my brackets and it scared me to death! I had the wires removed and the self-ligating brackets left open and went to the dentist, who used an ultrasonic tool to clean it and after that, I brushed 5 minutes and flossed after each eating and was able to keep it away then. Some of us just make a lot of plaque, unfortunately, and we have to work like the dickens to keep it removed before it turns into tartar.
