> hmmmm .....i am not sure about an electric brush ... i have been using the brush i was givin by my ortho and i think it works great it cleans above and below the braces as well as the braces. i do use a water pik and i think its great all it is basically is pressured water rinsing out between your teeth as well as your gums. i would have to say if you do decide to buy a water pik use the slow speed at first until you get used to the feeling then maybe go to medium... never use the high unless you have gums of steel. i would still floss though i know it can be a little tricky with braces at first but you will get used to it beieve me. try using the threaders they can be found at any drug store they pretty much make it easier to thread the floss through your teeth with braces on. oh and one more thing make listerine your best friend until you get used to the flossing this helps with cleaning in between teeth and gums. one more thing always have tooth picks handy because if your in a restaurant eating and have all this food in between your braces (which you will) then just pop out the tooth pick in the restroom and pick it out (when no one is looking of course) they can be a real lifesaver. i hope this info helps a little.

good luck
