I use the glide floss threader which is just a long piece of floss that is stiffer on the end so that it's easily threaded through the wires. At first, I couldn't get the floss through the banded teeth either. After a couple of days of trying, I had the idea of sticking the floss threader through the teeth near the gumline and then bringing it out. It worked fine and the problem turned out to be that there was some cement used to put the band on stuck in the gap. Now it's no problem to floss there as long as I use the glide floss. My other floss shredds all over the place when I try because of the tight fit. Hope this helps.
