I had a bracket pop off after one week (tooth next to one with molar band/head gear tube etc. on, dunno what it us called). He replaced it but at my next adjustment my ortho decided to remove the bracket and put a molar band around that tooth to obtain a greater rotation instead. Jeez, I sometimes wonder why this wasn't done in the first place, but, then again, who am I to question why!!!

As an aside, I have often thought about the need for spacers at all because my ortho popped the molar band on that day without any bother at all, even though my back teeth are very close together. I've heard stories about people needing spacers prior to the placement of molar bands. Anyone else experience molar band placement mid-treatment without using spacers? Just wondering!!!
Thanks!
