Yes, this has happened to me with the brackets popping off. I've restricted my diet to oatmeal, eggs, PB+J, yogurt, applesauce, soup, and cheese. The ortho wouldn't really listen to what I was saying about the brackets breaking even though I wasn't eating candy or popcorn, etc., he just said that I was being very irresponsible because my brackets broke so much. I also got charged each time one broke. So, I've just given up and live on the ultra-soft diet. If I ever try to eat pizza or normal food, I end up breaking something.
