Subject: It's Unbelievable - but I'm not complaining...

Last Friday I went to the Ortho for my scheduled adjustment appt (every 4 weeks); and had a small adjustment made to keep pushing my teeth along. My Ortho mentioned that by the time of my next appt on Aug 13, I would be ready to have my archwires replaced with new shorter ones - a good thing - and she was quite thrilled to tell me that this was the plan. I woke up on Sat, aching as per usual after and adjustment, and thought 'holy gap batman!' (early post) as the gap between my front teeth was now noticeable and the gaps around my canine teether were obviously larger. By Tuesday, the gaps were even larger and the loose wire over my one front tooth on the top (doesn't have a bracket to hold it in place to prevent from pulling it in the wrong direciton) had billowed out a bit. By Wed morning the billowing section of wire was so big, it stuck out between my lips when my mouth was closed (rare occurance, I know!). I called to make an appt with the Ortho.

This morning, I went to the Ortho (so less than a week from my last adjustment) ; and she was surprised to see this billowing wire.. her first thought was it pulled out from another bracket...but after she looked around with the mirror, she freaked! She has never seen teeth move that quickly! lol I was ready for my new archwire in less than a week, instead of in four weeks!

So I'm assuming I may have these things off sooner than planned! *me hopes*
