Hi - I'm getting married in October and I've had only my bottom braces on for 3 weeks. My ortho suggested waiting to put the tops on till after the wedding. A friend of mine did get her braces removed years ago for senior pictures and she said it was painful and her teeth felt very loose like they were going to fall out. She said if she had known she would not have done it. Good Luck with your decision.
