Dianne who had to save a molar with root resorption:

I have 50% root resorption of a front tooth, am getting ready to do braces for the 2nd time, and they have told me there is nothing to do except wait and see about the rooth and whether I will lose the tooth. They advised that I could lose it whether I have orthodontics or not. It is a tooth that was surgically exposed because it would not erupt. I think the forces on it caused root resorption. What kind of treatment did you have for your molar? This is external root resorption I have; I'm told a root canal only works for internal root resorption. Can you give more details? Thanks.I am 46.
