When my Ortho mentioned the top bonded retainer, she noted that it was due to one of my two front teeth. The one tooth was heading forward and crossing over the other, so I'm assuming she's worried it would start to head that way again - we didn't get too detailed, as I was merely asking for a ballpark cost so I know what to expect down the road. She's great.. she didn't just blurt out a cost, she really sat there with my chart, looking at me and thought about what she would consider doing. She mumbled that the bottom for certain, and then thought about the top for a bit - who knows, things may change - I probably have another 12 months or so left before anything happens.
