Also keep in mind that the crookedness of your top teeth might be preventing the bottoms from moving around much. Think about it, close your teeth together. Do the top fronts touch the front of the bottom teeth? Mine did. I had two lower teeth that were stubbornly holding their ground. Then I realized that it was because I had an upper tooth set back a little and when I closed my mouth, that upper tooth acted like a wall that the lowers couldn't push through. I had to wait for my uppers to get nice and straight before my lowers sprang into action.
