Hi all,
I got my spacers out last Tuesday, and 5 molar bands added, which for me was 10 times worse than the spacers!! (If I never see another bite stick as long as I live it will be too soon!!!!) Once when I was biting on the stick, it slipped and cut my gum...Anyway, they also added a bracket to my top first bicuspid that I had just gotten a filling on. Only she added a metal bracket instead of ceramic by accident. Guess it was just one of those days...<sigh> (No biggie, they said they would fix it when I go back for my next adj. in 6 weeks) They also replaced the wire & ligs. Well I notice that there is a sharp piece of wire poking out of the back top arch. It feels like a straight pin sticking me!! OUCH! So I am supposed to go in tomorrow morning to get it clipped. The problem is that due to all the pain and irritation from getting the molar bands in, and the filling, I now have a huge sore on my lip. I want that wire clipped desperately, but I am embarrased to go in with a big ol' sore on my lip. Plus I don't want to gross them out!! Lol So there I am...caught between pain and total embarassment.
