I still had a baby tooth (right canine) until May of this year. I'm 34 years old by the way. I also had to have every individual baby tooth pulled at the dentist because they would never fall out, the adults would just come in behind them. Well, this canine was one that was evidently missed and the adult canine just stayed impacted in my palate.

I had the surgery to expose it in May and had the baby tooth pulled at that time. The ortho just engaged the adult tooth last Wednesday and it seems to have already moved some.

I think this is pretty common with canines because they are the last teeth to come in??

I got braces on in July too---July of last year, that is. It was sort of a Birthday present to myself.
