I am 48 and the braces go on next week, on my birthday. I'm getting a little worried about what it will be like. I've had an expander in for about 3 months now. I've gotten used to it, but I know that the braces will be the real deal. No turning back now. I am convinced this is a positive thing in my life, I have no regrets, just a bit of anxiety about how I will look, and how I will feel about people seeing me at this age with braces. I'm hoping it won't be too traumatic, the support here is so awesome, I know that how ever I feel, I will be able to express it here and get through it.
So, no you're not too old, theres lots of folks like you right here. Go for it!
