I am to be wearing the finishing elastics (that clamp my teeth together hard) 18 hours a day. Without the elastics, my teeth are close but not touching everywhere and chewing is not thorough or easy. If the ortho doesn't double-check before debanding, I will ask him to. Does anyone know if there is a way to tighten the bite after the braces are off if it open more?
