Everyone has either a grayish or yellowish tint to their teeth... just slight in some, more in others. The ceramics tend to reflect that, I think. Some color ligatures can make it appear worse or better... I have a slight yellowish tint, and so light blue and yellow ligatures seemed to diminish the yellow tint in my teeth.

If you're using clear ligatures, your ligs might be getting stained... I used to use a bit of baking soda occasionally to try to keep it at bay.. it works nicely. I know they tell you not to use whitening tooth paste or baking soda or else you'd end up with little dark squares on your teeth after braces, but it didnt happen to me! Don't *try* to whiten your teeth, but I think using a bit of baking soda to whiten ligatures occasionally doesn't hurt.
