For the most part, I gotta agree with Chuck here. Maybe it wasn't delivered in the most sympathetic way possible but the message is dead on.

How many of us here would have appreciated having braces done this early so that our adult lives could have been spent with better bites and smiles?

How many of us here would LOVE to have had mom and dad be able to afford paying for these things rather than killing ourselves over payments now?

There comes a point when you have to stop patting poor upset children on the head for the HORRIBLE things that life is thrusting upon them when we all know that this child is damn lucky for it.

I'm soooo sorry you're being forced to have your teeth made beautiful. I'm soooo sorry mom and dad are paying for it. And I'm soooo sorry that you'll be finished with treatment before you get on with the meaty part of your life.

(Ok, so mine wasn't all that sympathetic either.)
