Subject: Partially erupted second molars... Dr. Rick?

Hi,
Both of my lower second molars grew in slanted and only partially erupted, hitting the molars in front of them. (My wisdoms were removed years ago.) The ortho said he will try to use coil springs to push them back, but I'm worried that they're too far back and my mouth is too small to allow them to put the springs in... it's hard enough to place a compressed spring between front teeth (I've had 2 so far)! So...Dr. Rick? Any other ways to push those molars back? Or will I need extractions? :( Thanks!
