Hi Tyler, thanks for the e-mail. If the car weigh's around 3000# and you use a 10 1/2" tire then a 2 3/8" stepped to
2 1/2" with a 5" collector could work well with the exhaust system. If the car is heavy and on Big tires then a 2 3/8" tube with 4" or 4 1/2" collectors would be better. Because of the floor shape and frame around the transmission an oval shapped collector would hit the frame and trans. Our header has excellent ground clearance under the engine ( 1/2" below a stock oil pan with 2 1/2" tube size), but again, because of the floor shape the collector aim's slightly down at the back and would be the lowest point, maybe 1" lower. At that point you would use a round to oval transition for your exhaust system. You may have to raise the floor under the rear seat to make room for the muff's. As for setting the engine back, our header was designed in a stock chassis and fits well, but if you move the engine very much it will start to hit the frame. We charge $850 for our headers and have a 4 week lead time.
Thanks again, Dan Lemons.
