Hi Dan, thanks for the e-mail. Sounds like a wild combination! We have 2 different headers for the 68-74 Nova BB and both are made to fit mid plates, so they shouldn't interfer with your fire wall. One header is made to fit the stock steering box and the other is made for a Rack & Pinion steering conversion. Both headers can be made any size up to 2 1/2".
