I have 2 AB's I am training for Schutzhund. My male has his BH and is close to being ready for his SCH I. He has off the charts prey drive and extremely stable, loves to bite. Over all a very good dog for Schutzhund. I also have a young female who I am working but at this point I am not sure if she will make it. 18 months old and still very puppyish. She does come out and bite and shows drive but she doesn't have the intesnity I would like to see. Her nerves could be a little better also but so far her drive has brought her through it and she is doing ok. We will see what happens. Just remember this breed has not been bred for this work so finding a good candidate is not easy. Keep an open mind and be realistic. If you find a good one they are tough to beat imo, but keep in mind a good AB can be alot to handle also, especially for a novice handler. Be prepared and good luck.
