I found the following on the LDS site for the 1880 census:

Michael QUEEN Self M Male W 54 IN Farmer KY KY
Ruth J. QUEEN Wife M Female W 52 IN Keeping House KY KY
John P. QUEEN Son S Male W 22 IN Farm Labor IN IN
Mary P. QUEEN Dau S Female W 17 IN House Work IN IN
Theresa E. QUEEN Dau S Female W 14 IN House Work IN IN
Alace M. QUEEN Dau S Female W 11 IN House Work IN IN

This Queen family was from Rutherford, Martin Co, IN. If this is your Alice then it appears your Queen line went through Kentucky.
