I was thinking this morning how much our lives have changed since that one fateful morning in Biology when Tom and I first struck up our bizarre conversation over the overhead projector. September 99 and what was going on? I had just met Myke and fancied him rotten. Didn't stop the whole Piers thing though...thanks Tom for getting me through that one. And Katie (credit where credits due, you know you're my babe) for all those 'carpe diem' moves. I'd started hanging out with Toms group - very different set up in those days: Tim Evans, Tamer, me and Tom...can't ever remember anyone else. We all drifted after Tim moved onto his 'cool' music mates. A year later Sam joined, Myke moved more permanently into the picture and Fiona developed a Tamer fixation. Tom stirred this up considerably I recall by telling Fiona that I fancied Tamer...thanks. Not true I should add. Chris sort of just morphed - I never remember when he actually became 'one of us'. Or Dan. It was just like one day they were there and it was as if they'd always belonged. Fateful New Year Party (still owe you one Dan).

And how we've all changed. Tom was soooo shy when I first met him. Now he's incredibly boisterous. Sam was quiet too, not anymore. Dan seems much more open. Chris has developed his own inimitable style. I've discovered who I am, pretty much, thanks to you lot. Tamer argues a hell of a lot more than he ever did. So there you go. Tom will probably point out that I've missed out all the juicy gossipy bits but I'll leave it to him to fill in what he wants. And the rest of you. (Eg Dan + Fi, Tom + Hannah...)
