Reminded Memories
I awoke to past thoughts this morning
ten months ago when we first met
I remembered how the talk was tense
and i remember the hug I did get
The kiss you landed on my cheek
even the pack of smokes that I lost
The way you dusted sand from the steps
thinking of how much my clothes did cost
I remember the cap you wore
to cover the haircut you hadn't got
The backpack you carried almost everywhere
and the gentle accent of a scot.
Fond memories and wam feelings as I look back
so much has happened since that night
Life has tested us whenever it could
but our grip on each other is too tight
Today I wear your ring upon my finger
In just over five moths time
I'll give birth to our first child
and your name would've too become mine\
Only one thing can delay this process
but NOTHING can stop it all together
as I vow to you as I've done before
I'll love you always & forever!!!
