Hi Ann,

the PSA courage test is as follows--

decoy sets up about 45 metres from the dog and handler with a baton and a bag with cans/bottles in his hand and threatens the dog. Handler sends the dog and the decoy runs at the dog screaming.

About halfway, the decoy throws the bag across the path of the dog, then raises his hands in the air and continues to run at the dog. The dog targets the left armpit and the decoy catches, then drives the dog for about 3 metres and freezes up.

When we did the last trial it was pouring rain and therefore the runs weren't that fast. I imagine in better conditions you are running much faster.

My only point was that it would be tough to catch on the leg while running toward the dog, but maybe that is just lack of trying on my part.
