Thanks Jeff!! I really appreciate it :) I was able to run through the exercise at the Michael Ellis Seminar over the weekend - and it really helped me to experiment with what Ludo might see in trial. The seminar was great BTW - best seminar I've been too.

We got there late Friday night and headed to an almost deserted ocean beach. It was very foggy and dark and Ludo hadn't seen Michael yet. So Michael gave us a BR muzzle and we did Ludo's first muzzle work session ever. Ludo's never worn a muzzle except a light one for breeding - but not only did he not care that he had it on, his first session absolutely rocked! Far better than we ever expected. Michael waited on the beach with just an old bullet proof vest on. When he approached menacingly, Ludo did not hesitate to hit him hard in the chest (which means he took it very seriously since he always targets legs in the suit). With each attack he hit even harder! We were very proud :) I was even happier that it didn't affect his socialness with strangers at all or his work on the field. He did very nicely running through the trial. Michael said he's tested more than a few dogs on the muzzle - and Ludo and Fauxtois (his female) were the only two to hit so nicely the very first time. That's my boy!:))

Hopefully Sam got some good pictures using black and white film and a flash - I'll post them to the Mal Handler if she did.

Thanks again!
Laura
