Subject: Bill Clinton leaving office

When I went online earlier today and saw the headline on my home page of MSNBC about "Clinton says farewell to the nation" immediately tears came to my eyes....and later when I read news stories about his talk Thursday I started to cry.. It's sad ....and scary to be left with Bush and his henchmen instead. It's like we won't be safe anymore.....most of us (unless you're a wealthy corporation or right wing racist).

There was one good scene in the film "Deep Impact" where the world is going to end when an asteroid hits the earth and a female reporter goes to the shore to meet up with her handsome graying father (who was far from perfect but she loved him anyway) and they stand together as this unbelievably huge tidal wave comes hurling at them like a nightmarish black wall. And it will destroy all in its path. It's like Clinton is that father and His Fradulency and Co are the nightmarish tidal wave. In the film some people did survive and so I must hope too that some of this countries democracy, environment and laws will survive this coup d'etat staged by the plutocracy.
