Chapter Eight

Theresa opened the nursery door quietly and stepped in, Ethan right behind her. Theresa looked over into the crib and saw her baby. The light of her life. The one person who she loved more then anything in the world. The one person who would love her always. her son. She stared at him with love and suddenly he opened his eyes and looked at her. If she didn't know better, she'd say that he just smiled at her. He was flailing his arms around, a sign that he wanted her to pick him up. She took him into her arms and he snuggled up against her.

"Mommy's here now, sweetheart, and she's never going to leave you again." The baby mumbled words that only he understood.

Ethan stared at Theresa with amazement. She was such a wonderful mother to Ethan Martin. She loved him so much, it was obvious. Suddenly he remembered what had been nagging at him for days now. Should he tell Theresa that he thought Ethan Martin might be his? Grace had been the one who made him realize it. She had said that he had the Bennett eyes. And if that was true, the Ethan Martin was his son. Not Julian's. But his son. His and Theresa's son. It was an amazing feeling. Now of only he could muster up enough courage to tell Theresa. Then they could have a DNA test done to see if what he suspected was true.

Ethan Martin fell asleep and Theresa put him back in his crib, leaning down and kissing his forehead. She turned to Ethan and smiled. Ethan smiled back and thought" This is your chance Ethan, tell her what you suspect".

"Um Theresa, we need to talk".
