I was with the 56Th Signal Company from March 1965 until June 1966. We were sent as a Unit from Ft. Lewis Washington by ship, The USS Brackenridge to QuiNhon. We lived right in town next to the air strip and the Providence Chief's house. We later moved to Phu Tai Valley and your description is right on. I rotated back to the states in June of 1966 to Ft. Carson.
