Colonel Beegle,

My name is Woodrow (Woody) Middleton and I served with the 526th CC&S and Company E Troop Command from July 68 through July 69. I was surfing the Web and came across your e-mail and do remember you as Company Commander.

Hope this e-mail finds you doing well and in good health. There is not a day goes by that I don't think about the 526th and Co E.

You were a great CO and I know everyone was so glad that you came when you did. Things were going down hill in a hurry with the VC and with the other problems.

Thank you for providing the leadership and knowledge to help us defend ourselves. I especially remember the mortar pits in front of the oderly room. Never had seeing mortars in action before, but they and all the other things that you did to keep the VC off us were well appreciated. I just want to say Thank You.

After I left Viet Nam, I was stationed at the Persido in San Francisco and then left for the 1st Infantry Division in Augsburg, Germany. Later completed my degrees in Chemistry and Marketing. I retired from one job and currently work for the US Department of Labor in Jackson, MS.

If you have a momnet would love to hear from you.

Thanks,

Woody Middleton
