Tom too many years I'm dam near 57 years old. Where has the
time gone I turned 19 in 67. Anyway I was with orignal 560th that came over on USS Gordan. Left right after TET 68.
Were you at English when Ammo/POL dump went up I was. SS Black was NCO on site working artillery . Went with a guy name Ferko from Phu Tai. I'll never forget that nite scared
shitless. Still have piece of shrapnel that landed in back of truck. 105 round casing and all was buried right in front
our tent. God was I lucky. TET had me real worried thats' when old 560th moved from Phu Tai to An Khe and fuck An khe
pass, know what I mean. I'm a civilian worker at Aberdeen Proving Ground Md with 3 years till I retire. Can't wait. Us
old Nam Vets are getting old for sure.
God Bless the old 560 boys and all who came after
us. Drop me a line
