Subject: search for info on some other relatives, Pyotr and Valentina Zietsers in Ukraine

Yes, it must be difficult to just open up an Odessa telephone directory and look up the number and address of our relatives there whom we haven't been in touch with for 20 years. I can not imagine making such a big deal in this issue- if somebody asked me to do such a simple thing. As you know I live in Israel now, not in the United States. In the United States it was very simple to contact telephone operators, to find out the numbers for anybody, you just pressed 0, and that was all although that did not mean that they would give you the answer that you want. When I asked them to connect me with an operator in Moscow, to find out the number for my mother's cousin there, that Moscow operator told me that he does not have this information. As for Kishinev, Moldova-they told me there is no service there of this nature at all. Here, in Israel, very often, when I call anywhere, they tell me to press a number on a telephone keypad, I do it, they don't hear me, and keep demanding that I do it. I addressed this complaint to my lawyer in Jerusalem, he told me that I can try this procedure in his office, with his help. I don't know whether it will help me or not but we are looking for Pyotr, Valentina, Alexander, and Igor Zietsers in Odessa, Ukraine. In 1980s, they lived on Karl Liebknecht Street, in Odessa. Valentina was born in 1939, Pyotr is 8 years her senior, and their sons must be in their forties now, I don't know, they are very grown up. Valentina is the daughter of the youngest offspring in a family of Osip and Yelizaveta Milyavskys-Sonya, who passed away at a relatively young age, of 50, in 1965, in Odessa, on the arms of her daughter, Valya, and Valya's family. Osip and Liza also had a son, Isaak who is my mother's father's father, and Valya was the only relative on that side of our family who retained contacts with us after the death of my mother's father, in 1960. Her father also lived a relatively short life and died a very long time ago.
