Subject: Looking for WWII Vets in 748 Tank Battalion 3rd Army

My dad is interested in making contact with some of his buddies from the 748th SP Tank Battalion. He served from 1943 to 1946. His name is Robert C. Lawton now 78 yrs old. He remembers a Roy Chapman. He went from training in Ft. Knox to Bouse,Arizona to Scotland & boarded the Queen Elizabeth to Wales. From Cardiff they traveled across the channel to Omaha Beach (or Utah)and served under Patton. He currently resides in Chesaning, Mi. which is the same town he was drafted from back in 1943.
