I have two partial memories. #1 Around the end of Tet or maybe a month later, of 68 we went on alert. Heard it was because of an attack at the Air Force base. The rumor was it was attacked by Korean troops who were upset because of an incident at the P.X..We heard they rocketed the air strip.#2 Ariund early 69, maybe March? the air field was rocketed. I know this for sure because I went on R and R right after this. The Korean action I have also read about in books, but I definately remember it. Hope it helps, DON
