> > Dear Miss Deena DEbraux, I was over come with grief and something weird I haven't felt in years and years. I am disabled and couldn't serve our country, but my younger brother, Jimmy, did. He was also a marine, 7th Marines to be exact, a recon man. He made it back home the night before my wife and I were married. June 18th, '66. Jimmy contracted cancer (agent orange). he was physically and emotinally scared from all of this , not to mention 13 months of action in Vietnam. He was stationed on the beach at Chu Lai. He used to write letters to me, trying to cheer me up, of all things! He died in Audy Murphy hospital from something not even related only 7 years ago. Oh how I miss him. He was only 3 years younger than me. WE were very very close, we used to camp, hunt, fish, and yeah, party. Jimmy was in Operation Starlight, thats how I happened upon your letter. My heart goes out to you, this is the only reason I am writing. I really have nothing to offer except my appreciation and respect for your compassion. You are quite a young lady. Thanks for caring for our "boys", even though now those still alive are old men, as I am. Oh yeah, on my brother's tombstone, I had "Hero" engraved. His widow didnt like it,but he was, to me and mom and dad and my sis. God bless you. Jack Rackley Boerne,TExas My name is Deena Debraux. I wasn't a veteran of the
