Supplemental Info;
Mike entered the Army in '68 and primary job was helicopter mechanic. He had an uncanny knack in this capacity as his favorite hobby pre-war was auto-mechanics. As I understand it, his job was modified to gunner on either medi-vac or recon missions. I would like to know specifics of some of his missions or experiences with some of his comrades during his short time in country. He and some of his buddies were killed by a night-time VC mortar attack while sleeping in their barracks. Any information or communication would be greatly appreciated.
Respectfully,
Ted Hofstetter
